I will just add that the ‘Well Performance Prediction and Optimisation’ module is exactly what I have been looking for since I started learning about Production Engineering – the fundamental concepts very well explained and concise. I am not aware of any text book that explains it anywhere near as well.

I am here to share a nice tool that has been helping me a lot. Baobab is a website where we can find more than 500 videos covering production technology, reservoir engineering, integrated production modelling, well performance, production operations, among others. The videos are very didactic, short and with concise explanations. I have been using it to remind me of important concepts in the well performance theme and also to learn about some software applications. And definitely I can apply on my day-to-day job. I found it very useful and a fast way of learning, rather than being in a classroom. You can also gain badges by passing skills and competency tests. Totally worth sharing :)
– Production Engineer, Total

I truly enjoyed my experience with Baobab LMS. One of the things that stood out to me as overwhelmingly positive/enjoyable were the video tutorials surrounding various E&P softwares including GAP, PROSPER, and Kappa Saphir. I found these videos were a far more effective/efficient method for learning how to use these softwares as opposed to reading a manual or contacting a company representative. Baobab served as a central database for any of your E&P learning needs. These tutorials were great for someone at a novice level like myself but also provided some greater detail for those who may already have experience working with these tools.
– Reservoir Engineer, Suncor

I like the fact that the videos were short and at the same time contained the necessary information needed to solve the challenges that could be encountered in the field. This helped keep concentration levels high during periods of studying and the same time making it easier to understand the modules taught in class.

Reading books take time and the language can be a bit difficult. But this site explained everything very simply, easy to understand concepts.
