This course covers the main aspects of Flow Assurance, starting with the construction of the well (cementing technologies), then covering the main aspects of repairing formation damage (stimulation technologies) in order to maintain sustainable production. Keeping the well operation within the safety envelope is also critical for any oil & gas operator (well integrity technologies).
The course starts by presenting the basic concepts for Cementing Job Design, execution and follow up, stressing the importance of efficient cementing operations and their impact on the well life cycle. Emphasis is also placed on removing formation damage in order to restore or improve the well's productivity (stimulation technologies).
Well integrity technologies, focusing on monitoring problematic wells, diagnose the causes of those problems, and implement techniques to mitigate and/or repair those problems in order to keep the well operating safely, therefore decreasing the expensive list of inactive wells (very costly on lost production).
